Active members are required to participate in all local chapter meetings, events and programs.

Active members must also participate in all mandatory national events and programs as per the direction of the National Executive Committee. Members can elect to become inactive should their personal, academic, or professional needs require. However, it is in the best interest of the brotherhood, as well as the communities supported by the fraternity, that members remain active and involved.

Members of local chapter executive boards have more of a demand on their time as they are responsible for fulfilling the requirements of the academic institute, as well as those of the National Executive Committee. Those requirements consist of, but are not limited to, event and program planning, candidate recruitment, and report submission.
