The Executive Officer of Lambda Alpha Upsilon is the chief administrator or president of the fraternity. He is responsible for carrying out the mission and vision of the fraternity as outlined by its board of directors. The Executive Officer presides over the National Executive Committee and all of its subdivisions. The officer is also the lead representative of the fraternity at all national Greek council events.

The Chief Operations Officer is responsible for the development and administration of the undergraduate chapters and colonies. The Operations Officer provides support and instruction to the undergraduate chapters to maximize their performance on campus. All undergraduate chapters and colonies of Lambda Alpha Upsilon are required to submit regular reports to the Operations Officer on the status of their membership, progress of their internal meetings, recruitment campaigns, and event planning.

The Chief Expansion Officer is the officer responsible for the coordination of fraternal growth. He administers national expansion initiatives and provides support to candidates seeking to found new chapters at their academic institutes. The officer provides the universities all requisite information pertaining to their recognition procedures, and directs the interest groups as they develop into successful chapters

Chief Programming Officer

The duties of the Director of Programming & Community Service is divided into two parts. First, this officer is responsible for the coordination of fraternal events. He organizes national events such as the annual Lambda Day Awards Ceremony, National Convention, and brotherhood retreats. All chapters and colonies are required to submit their event schedules to the Director of Programming. The officer uses this information to develop the national calendar of events.

Second, this officer is responsible for the coordination of fraternal community service and philanthropy programs. He organizes fraternity-wide participation in events such as the AIDS Walk and Bone Marrow Drives. The officer develops fundraising activities to support the victims of natural disasters, and manages the Lambda Way and Jose Chiu Scholarship Funds.

The Chief Technology Officer is the officer responsible for the planning and implementation of our fraternal web presence. He develops and enforces protocols to optimize the fraternity’s professional appearance on the Internet. The officer directs the management of our national web site, electronic-mail distribution groups, and databases.

The Chief Public Relation Officer (CPRO) is responsible for managing the public image of the organization by observing social, economic, and political trends that might ultimately affect the organization and make recommendations to enhance the organization’s image based on those trends. The CPRO uses every available communication medium in his effort to maintain the support of the public upon whom the organization’s success depends.
