AIDS WALK

Latino America Unida, Lambda Alpha Upsilon Fraternity, Inc. supports AIDS Walk because it has long recognized that no single organization can meet all the critical needs that arise from HIV/AIDS. That is why each year, AIDS Walk New York and GMHC invite other vitally important AIDS organizations to be co-beneficiaries of the event by joining the Community Partnership Program (CPP).

Sickle Cell Disease

Latino America Unida, Lambda Alpha Upsilon Fraternity, Inc. supports the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, it is estimated that about 1 out of every 16,300 Hispanic-American births and 1 out of every 365 Black or African-American births contain the Sickle Cell Disease. We’ve had an Hermano seriously afflicted by this disease and wanted to show our support by drawing more attention to it.
